01 Cancellation Rules
At Magic Bite, we start preparing your order (sourcing fresh ingredients, baking bases) almost immediately after confirmation. Hence, we have specific rules regarding cancellations:
- Notice Period: You can request a cancellation up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time.
- Same-Day Orders: Orders placed for "Same Day Delivery" cannot be cancelled under any circumstances once confirmed.
- How to Cancel: You must call us directly on our support numbers to request a cancellation. WhatsApp messages might be missed during busy hours.
02 Refund Policy for Online Payments
Please read this section carefully before making an online payment.
Since we deal in perishable food items made to order:
- Online Payments are Non-Refundable: If you have paid online (via UPI, Card, or Wallet), the amount is treated as a final confirmation. We do not offer monetary refunds if you change your mind later.
- Why? The moment you pay, we incur costs for ingredients, labor, and payment gateway processing fees which are not recoverable.
- Management Discretion: In extremely rare cases (e.g., if we are unable to fulfill the order due to our own internal issues), the management may offer a "Store Credit" or a "Date Change" for a future order, but strictly no cash refunds will be processed.
03 Fees & Charges Breakdown
When you check out, the final amount may include various components beyond the cake price. Please check your Payment Summary Area carefully before paying.
- 1. Delivery Charges: Calculated based on distance from Dharmanagar Town. Distant areas (like Bagbassa/Kurti) will have higher fees.
- 2. Platform Fees: A small nominal fee may be charged for website maintenance and technology usage.
- 3. Gateway Charges: Online payments involve processing fees charged by banks/providers. This is non-refundable.
04 Delivery Timelines & Variance
While we strive to be on time, every time, local conditions in Dharmanagar can vary.
- Time Variance: Delivery slots are estimates. Actual delivery may vary by 30-60 minutes depending on traffic, road conditions, or weather (heavy rain).
- No Refund for Delay: We do not offer refunds for minor delays caused by uncontrollable factors.
- Recipient Unavailable: If our delivery partner reaches your location and you are not available to collect, the order will be considered "Delivered" and no refund will be issued.
05 Damaged or Wrong Items
If you receive a cake that is completely smashed or the wrong flavor:
You must inform the delivery person immediately on the spot. Once the delivery person leaves your premises, no claims for damage will be entertained.
